Derby "born and bred", Stephen began his career in commercial property in 1975 and has worked in Derby ever since. Following spells of 12 years (Board of Management) and 6 years (Area Director) at the Derby offices of two Midlands-wide commercial property consultancies, Stephen established Salloway Property Consultants in 1993.
Heading the company's Land and Development division, Stephen's main responsibilities are to provide development advice from conception to exit; strategic advice for maximising land sales revenues; and major property/portfolio disposals. Stephen also provides Landlord and Tenant advice principally in the areas of rent reviews and lease renewals. He describes his strength as his ability "
to utilise my extensive knowledge of Derby and the property industry to best effect."
Stephen has chaired the Planning and Development Forum for Derbyshire Chamber of Commerce for a number of years and was a member of the Project Committee which successfully established Derby's Urban Regeneration Company "Derby Cityscape." He is also involved in a number of public/private sector "inward investment" initiatives.
A keen sportsman and supporter of all local teams, Stephen enjoys shooting, tennis, cricket and golf. His real passion, however, is to watch his sons play rugby and cricket.
